Sometimes plans change, and as a Host, you might need to adjust a booking to better suit both you and your Guest.
Whether it’s updating the pricing, modifying check-in or check-out times, or changing the room, editing a booking is straightforward and allows for flexible, tailored arrangements.
Any edits made to a booking are sent to the Guest in the form of a 'request'. Guests can choose to accept these changes, or reject them.
Guests are also able to request changes to a booking, if so - Hosts will equally be given the option to accept or reject.
This article explains how to make changes to a booking, as well as what happens when a Guest requests changes.

Note: In this example, we will be making changes to a requested booking, but the process is the same for accepted bookings.
1. Log in to your Host account by tapping on the 'Hosts' tab.
2. Tap on the 'Bookings' tab.
3. Locate the booking you wish to edit and tap 'View Booking'.
4. Scroll down and tap 'Edit Booking'.
5. The next page shown below is where you can make changes to your requested or accepted bookings.
In this example we will change the check in date so that the booking takes place from the 25th - 27th November instead of the 24th - 27th November.
Any pricing difference will be automatically calculated but you can override this by tapping in the textbox.
6. Next, add a note to explain why you're making a change, accept the terms and conditions and tap 'Request Changes'.
7. Confirm the final price is correct by tapping 'Ok'.
The other party has 24 hours to accept or reject the request. Details of the change request will show on the booking.
Once the Guest accepts the changes, any adjustments to the deposit and remaining balance will be taken care of and notifications sent.
If you are making changes to a requested booking, then the booking will be marked as accepted.

Receiving requested changes to a booking
If a Guest has requested a change then you will be notified. Bookings with a change request will appear in your 'Bookings Requiring Attention' page.
1. To find the booking, tap on the 'Bookings' tab after logging on.
2. Tap on 'View Changes'.
3. Scroll down to see the requested changes. If you want to accept the changes, tap on 'Accept Changes'.
You will be asked to confirm by tapping 'Ok'.
4. If you chose to reject the changes from the Guest you can either Reject Change, or you can Reject and Suggest New Change.
Don't forget to include a message!
If you accept the change the deposit and remaining balance will be taken care of and notifications sent.
If you reject and suggest a new change, the change this information will be sent back to the Guest for them to make their decision about their booking.

Useful Information
Both requested and accepted bookings can be edited.
Note: If the booking is accepted but the Host's requested changes are not accepted by the Guest, either party is within their rights to cancel the booking without penalty.
Currently only Hosts can override the automatically calculated price for a booking. Guests wishing to request a price different to that calculated would need to contact the Host asking them to make the requested changes themselves.
If the total fee is increased, the Guest is required to pay the additional deposit at the time of requesting or accepting a change.
Requested changes expire after 24 hours without a response
These are the editable elements of a booking:
- Room
- Number of Guests
- Check-in/Check-out date
- Price
- 'Booking on behalf of' status
Bookings cannot be moved between different digs listings.
If a Guest wishes swap rooms part way through a stay (and after the booking has started) the Guest must ask the Host to edit the booking, to enable the Host to override the automatically calculated price if necessary.
If a request is rejected, cancelled or expired then any potential refunds or additional payments will be made void and no payment will taken.
If a request is accepted then any potential refunds or additional payments will be processed and the change will be reflected on the booking.
In the event a booking is cancelled, any additional payments will be considered part of the deposit and processed as such.
To withdraw a request, find the booking and click the "Withdraw" button.
Once withdrawn, no changes will be made and all potential refunds and additional payments will be made void.
Rejecting a request requires a reason for the rejection.
