Hosts can now officially request more time (up to 5 days) to accept a booking.


TheatreDigsBooker has a default 24-hour expiry period for all new bookings. We believe this gives Hosts a reasonable chance to accept or reject a booking request whilst still being quick enough to allow Guests to have an answer quickly regarding their accommodation. 


TheatreDigsBooker has now implemented a new feature on the site that allows Hosts to officially request more time to accept a booking. This new extension features allows Host to have up to 5 days (from the time a booking is requested) to accept or reject a booking.


This feature also requires a Host to include a message that is sent to the Guest explaining why they have extended the period and giving the Guest a chance to withdraw the booking.


To extend the time to accept a requested booking you can follow the steps below


1) Login to your TheatreDigsBooker Account and head over to your bookings page Here.


2) Find the relevant booking you would like more time to accept.


3) Here you can find a prompt to ask for more time, "I Need More Time" see image below.



4) You should be able to see how long your request will grant you and you will be prompted to write a message to the Guest before you can click the 'Send Request' button.


5) Once you have written your message, click the 'Send Request' Button.




Once your request has gone through TheatreDigsBooker will send you a confirmation of extension email and will also send a reminder email for each day of the extension.


Please note:

  • The extension can not go beyond midnight on the check-in date of the booking.
  • If the 'expiry due' time of the booking is after 11pm on the night of check-in, the Host will not be offered an extension.
