Hosts can choose to be contacted by 'anyone' searching the internet for accommodation or by 'Theatre Professionals Only'.
If you choose the latter, only logged in, registered Guests who have stated that they are theatre professionals will be able to view contact details or make a booking request. (These are the same people who can call for and access the theatre digs lists, in most cases.)
If the Guest is a member of Equity, Spotlight or other professional bodies we ask them to enter their details and these will soon appear on the Guest's profile for Hosts to see. Touring companies and company managers can also request a Tour Code which Guests can use to gain access to the site in lieu of memberships to other bodies.
For further peace of mind, some Hosts also state in their description that they want some communication with the Guest before accepting a booking.
Adjusting your Privacy Setting
1. After successfully logging into your Host account, tap on the 'Digs' tab.
2. Locate the listing that you wish to edit and tap 'Details' to to show the Digs overview page.
3. Scroll down to the settings tab and tap 'Edit'.
4. Under 'Guest Type', tap on the drop down and select 'Theatre Professionals Only'.
Don't forget to tap 'Save'.
