How to receive a VAT receipt

Modified on Wed, 13 Mar at 9:36 AM

Only Hosts are able to print VAT receipts as they are the ones paying VAT on the commission and not the Guest.

Guests pay the total fee for the stay in the accommodation in two instalments - 10% at the time of booking and the balance on arrival (unless the Host has requested a different payment agreement).

If a Host requests for a different payment arrangement than ‘Pay on arrival after inspecting the property’ please ensure they clearly advertised as such on the listing's description, and that you understand their terms regarding cancellation and refunds as this agreement is strictly between you and the Host.

Once the booking is complete and is considered 'successful' we retain the 10% instalment which is our commission including VAT. Since this fee comes from the total fee that the Host charges, it is the Host's commission to pay for our services.

Guests don't pay anything to use TheatreDigsBooker.

If a Host charges VAT, the Guest is welcome to request a VAT receipt directly from them for the full amount.

Most of our Guests are not VAT registered and therefore our 'Print Receipt Feature' can help keep track of payments by printing a receipt for each booking once it has completed.

Guests can do this by visiting their bookings page.
