As you know, we are always looking at ways to improve your experience of TheatreDigsBooker and so our conitnuous development goes on in the background.

Here are some of the most recent improvements to the site:

Calendar update reminders

Because reputation is so important on the web, we are always looking at ways to make sure our listings are accurate and up-to-date.

To help with this we have introduced a new calendar update reminder email which asks Hosts to update their calendar at least once a month.

This may not sound like much of an update but if the Host fails to update, then another reminder is sent, then a warning of impending loss of listing and then the listing is automatically taken offline until the Host updates their calendar(s).

This ensures that only relevant and reliable listings appear in search results and this has combined with our other features to create a 79% acceptance rate across all bookings.

Text message reminders for unread messages

We already send text messages to a Host when a booking is made but we now also send text messages if a message remains unread for 12hrs or more. This helps eliminate missing out on bookings due to an email fault of some sort.

Obviously, everyone would prefer that no bookings ever need to be cancelled but now the sheer volume of bookings are increasing, we have automated most aspects of the cancellation process to make it easier for everyone, should they need to cancel.

This includes a clearer indication of the implications to ratings when a cancellation takes place.
